  1. Most importantly, stop what you’re doing and breathe deeply and slowly for 3 minutes.
  2. Inhale the aroma of lavender or chamomile essential oil.
  3. Apply 2-3 drops of essential oil of lavender or chamomile at the tip of the nose, temple and/or the soles of the feet while gently massaging into skin.
  4. Drink chamomile tea or valerian tea.
  5. Drinking orange flower water will also help calm your nervous system.
  6. Keep cotton balls soaked with a few drops of essential oil of lavender or chamomile in your car and desk drawers and their aroma will help you keep your stress levels down.
  7. Other foods that help reduce stress are: the diverse variety of lettuces and cabbages, dark chocolate, pistachios, walnuts and milk (especially with chamomile and valerian tea).
